GETEC, HBF and NBank Capital sell stake in smapOne to Nordwind Capital

Hanover, August 9, 2021: GETEC Energie Holding GmbH (GETEC Group), the subsidiary of hannoverimpuls GmbH, Hannover Beteiligungsfonds GmbH (HBF) and NBank Capital Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH - all from Hanover - have sold their majority stake in smapOne AG ("smapOne") to a group of investors led by Nordwind Capital from Munich as part of a Series B financing round. smapOne AG develops innovative solutions for companies that want to implement their processes digitally in the form of company-owned apps. The partnership is intended to further accelerate smapOne AG's national and international growth.

The initial financing from the HBF in 2014 and the first follow-up financing together with NBank Capital in 2016 laid the foundation for the company's expansion in Hanover. Since its entry in 2017, GETEC has taken over the majority of the company and, together with smapOne, has further developed the strategic orientation and market positioning of the company. This has created the basis for generating further growth in an increasingly competitive market environment.

Nordwind will actively shape the next growth and innovation phase with the founder management and further expand and strengthen smapOne's brand and market position. "In Nordwind Capital, we believe we have found an ideal partner for smapOne for the tasks ahead," explains Dr. Karl Gerhold, Managing Partner of the GETEC Group .

Who is smapOne?

smapOne makes it easy for companies to get started with digital transformation and enables every employee to easily implement and optimize processes and ideas in apps - all without programming knowledge . Business apps can be fully created and put into productive use in just 30 minutes.
