Until now, an electronic invoice was mainly understood to be an invoice that was sent by the invoice issuer to the invoice recipient by email in the form of a PDF.

However, from 2025, every company in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices in accordance with the EN 16931 format for intra-German transactions.

From 2027, or 2028 at the latest, every company must create and send all B2B invoices in e-invoice format. Generating and sending, receiving, checking, processing (posting) and archiving the e-invoice in compliance with GoBD

requires the consideration of numerous requirements. Companies must prepare themselves in order to meet the new requirements.

During this practice-oriented workshop, you will receive a comprehensive overview of the legal and operational requirements for switching to e-invoices in your company. You will also receive practical tips,

to correctly implement the requirements of the law on the one hand and, on the other, to benefit from efficiency gains for your operational processes.

  • You will receive an overview of the central requirements of the GoBD for digital receipts.
  • You will learn about the main formats for electronic invoices and receive all the information you need for legally compliant handling.
  • You will learn about the opportunities, challenges and potential pitfalls when using electronic invoice processing.
