Fund for Social-Ecological Innovation in the Hanover Region

April 23, 2026- The funding guidelines are intended to subsidize the testing of new and innovative concepts and offerings by nonprofit organizations, founders, and startups in the Hanover region.

Eligible for funding are investment and material costs as well as consulting services, up to a maximum grant amount of 10,000 EUR.

Eligible for funding are pilot projects covering the full range of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda (https://17ziele.de/). Two funding priorities will be given special consideration during the evaluation:

a) Business model innovations for the social economy

  1. Innovative, intergenerational initiatives in urban and social spaces, such as those focused on inclusion, childcare, and support for older adults
  2. Digital technology solutions for greater participation

b) Business models with the explicit objective of promoting employment (innovative social enterprises), i.e., the sustainable creation of jobs for disadvantaged groups in the labor market (especially integration, inclusion, and the long-term unemployed)
