Together with the state capital of Munich, the Hanover region will spend three years developing the regional data analysis of the Job Monitor into a "Skilled Worker Monitoring Transformation." The partners are pursuing the following goals:

  • Identification of current regional skilled labor requirements by occupation and industry in a supraregional comparison
  • Identification of current skill requirements of regional companies by occupation and industry in a supraregional comparison
    • Trend analysis of key changes in job profiles over the last two to three years
    • Analysis and comparison of sought-after qualifications and regional training priorities
  • Derivation of recommendations for action and initiation of measures and projects for companies and regional labor market stakeholders (Hanover Skilled Workers Alliance) as well as education stakeholders, e.g.
    • Initiation of educational innovations for transformation (training and continuing education)
    • Initiation of model projects for the regional labor market (partial qualifications for the unemployed and employed, transition paths for employees threatened by unemployment in continuing education networks, etc.)

Based on the results of the Job Monitor, two to three new education and labor market approaches are to be developed each year, which will be implemented by the partners of the Skilled Worker Alliance and education providers. Over the course of the project, a regional user community will be established and the introduction of expert access to in-depth data analysis will be tested. Ideally, the Hanover region will thus develop into a nationwide model real-world laboratory for labor market innovations.
