Slight Uptick in Land Sales
Total sales of commercial land ready for development amounted to 29.6 ha in 2025, marking a rise compared to 2024 (19.4 ha). However, this figure remains below the long-term average of 59 ha. In the data series dating back to 1992, 2025 shows the second-lowest land sales volume, with the lowest recorded in the previous year, 2024.
The resurgence—albeit modest—in land sales volume and the number of sales transactions suggests a certain recovery in activity compared to the record low of the previous year. However, given that levels remain well below average, this can at best be described as the beginning of a recovery trend. The declining sales figures in recent years must also be viewed in the context of the need to reduce land consumption.
