Flexibility and digitalization - key elements in the electricity system of the future

By 2035, our steadily increasing demand for electricity should come entirely from renewable sources. However, the generation of wind and solar energy is subject to strong daily and seasonal fluctuations. In order to keep the electricity grid stable and thus avoid a collapse, electricity supply and demand must be in balance at all times.

In future, the demand for electricity must therefore be adapted more closely to the supply: "demand side management", as it is called in specialist circles. Energy-intensive companies in particular can help here by flexibly adapting their demand to the electricity supply and deliberately increasing their electricity consumption when there is a surplus of energy or reducing it when there is a shortage. Is this flexibilization even feasible and realistic - without the products suffering as a result? What approaches already exist and what will the production of the future look like? And what is actually still standing in the way of energy flexibilization? One thing is certain: Flexibility and digitalization will become key elements of our future electricity system.

Join us in the webinar "Flexibility and digitalization - key elements in the electricity system of the future" to discuss the challenges, solutions and your business opportunities within the electricity grid of the future.

Program:

First, Mr. Dennis Bauer, head of the coordination office of the Kopernikus project "SynErgie" , will introduce the topic by explaining the importance of energy flexibilization for the future and presenting some examples of successful flexibilization projects in companies and entire regions. The current obstacles and regulations that still need to be overcome will also be addressed. Digitalization and measurability will play a central role in making the electricity market more flexible. After all, if energy flows can be measured precisely and thus become transparent, they can be predicted and optimized. The energy fingerprints of different machines and other consumers must be analyzed in order to create the conditions for a successful energy transition. Mr. Johannes Schnitzler, Managing Director of Ladon Energy GmbH , will present his solution - an intelligent sensor - which is able to detect, accurately measure and allocate different energy flows from a single point and even make predictions. With the help of his solution, the energy flow will finally become visible and controllable. The result is considerable savings potential and at the same time an important contribution to environmental protection.

Save the date: Serial refurbishment!

How can serial construction methods for refurbishing existing buildings be implemented in Hanover and the region? What are the advantages of such solutions and how can existing buildings be brought up to the climate-neutral NetZero standard much more quickly, easily and cost-effectively? If you would like answers to these questions and would also like to exchange ideas and network with experts on this topic, then reserve the afternoon of November 23, 2022 in your calendar, let us know your interest in the topic and look forward to further information, which we will provide you with shortly!
