20.07.2023 - On July 5, the Hannover Region's business reception was a complete success with a record number of over 900 guests!

The stormy weather was a blessing in disguise, but the "rush" was still huge: with a record number of over 900 guests, the Hannover Region's business reception at Hannover Adventure Zoo was a complete success. On July 5, representatives from politics, business, administration and the media came together for the annual networking event and to exchange new ideas and projects, accompanied by music from the "Brudy Ensemble".

Regional President Steffen Krach emphasized that for us as the Hannover Region, transformation is more than just change: "Transformation is a positive design task that we actively tackle instead of just letting ithappen!"

Ulf-Birger Franz, Head of Economic Affairs, presented the topic of the Green Economy, for which more than 750,000 euros in funds are being used. He promoted the use of public transport, which offers attractive conditions for companies in particular with the Jobticket. Around 950 companies/24,500 employees were already using this offer in July.

Julia Kümper, Team Leader of Economic Development since October 2022, is currently strategically realigning her team. The "Future Diversity" initiative is also new: her declared aim is not only to raise companies' awareness of diversity, but also to show them what opportunities it offers and how it can be implemented.
