Lower Saxony’s largest educational project has become a reality in the city of Garbsen: The entire Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (18 institutes) at Leibniz University Hannover has found a home on the Mechanical Engineering Campus in Garbsen. In addition to the institutes, other research facilities and buildings are located there. Approximately 5,300 students and staff members study, teach, conduct research, and work on the campus.
Crafts Campus
Spanning approximately 65,000 square meters, the campus houses around 100 specialized workshops, laboratories, and classrooms. Approximately 16,000 people use the facility each year. In addition to vocational training, the campus focuses on continuing education programs in the industrial-technical field, such as the Master Craftsman School and business administration programs (HwO).
