Meetup: Digitization with IOT - Hannover's Internet of Things: using the example of process monitoring with LoRaWAN
Kick-off of the joint event series HIDD (Hanover's Internet of Things) with our partner Enercity and the Institute of Multiphase Processes (IMP) at Leibniz University, to illustrate the possible applications of the Internet of Things.

The so-called "Internet of Things" (IoT) makes it possible to network physical and virtual objects locally and globally via the internet. This starts with kitchen appliances and lamps in your own "smart home" and extends to large machinery or "connected cars". HIDD (Hannover's Internet of Things) provides the technological platform and knowledge transfer to get the best out of Industry 4.0.
The best way to explain how this works is by example. Together with our partner Enercity and the Institute of Multiphase Processes (IMP) at Leibniz University, we have designed a series of events to illustrate the possible applications of the Internet of Things.
- Welcome by the Hannover Region Economic Development Agency (Tim Mittelstaedt)
- Presentation of LoRaWAN technology (enercity, Thomas Brunotte, Aleksander Simonovski)
- Application example: Process monitoring in electrospinning (IMP, Alexander Becker, Prof. Birgit Glasmacher, Tim Rittinghaus)
- Potential for further areas of application (enercity)
- Discussion with working groups
Moderation: Dr. Dierk Fricke, Hannover Region
