The industrial sector is responsible for a good third of Germany's final energy consumption. A large proportion of greenhouse gas emissions from industry can be directly attributed to process heat. This is heavily dependent on fossil fuels.
This online event will shed light on the exciting field of combustion and forming processes. Dr. Christian Schwotzer will report on the results of a study by the Federal Environment Agency on "CO2-neutral process heat generation in forming technology". In the second presentation, Miltiadis Vlachos from ILLUTHERM GmbH will show how materials can be heated to more than 1000 degrees within seconds using blue light. The target audience includes company and association representatives as well as company energy consultants.
