Knowledge within companies and organizations is the cornerstone of their success. AI-based knowledge management solutions offer tremendous opportunities through data analysis, rapid access, and the codification of domain-specific knowledge.
However, the use of language models grants all users—both inside and outside an organization—access to potentially sensitive and security-critical information.

Our Speakers
Dr. Daniel Kudenko is a research group leader at the L3S Research Center and the executive director of the European Digital Innovation Hub for AI and Cybersecurity (DAISEC). His research focuses on machine learning and generative AI, among other topics, and particularly on the security of language models.
A key strength of language models when used within a company is that they possess a great deal of knowledge about the company and can convey this knowledge to users in an accessible and understandable way. In many application areas, this strength can become a security risk, as this knowledge should not be shared with all users to the same extent. The goal of the SisWiss project—Secure Language Models for Knowledge Management—is to explore new technologies that enable language models to share sensitive knowledge and information selectively, only with authorized users.
During his presentation, Dr. Kudenko will provide a detailed overview of the research project and explain how companies can participate in the project and benefit from it.
Thorben Warnebold is Chief Transformation Officer at Laverana GmbH & Co. KG. At the natural cosmetics manufacturer Laverana, people are increasingly saying, “Ask EVA!” EVA (short for Enterprise Virtual Assistant) is an AI assistant designed for various operational applications.
In his practical presentation, Thorben Warnebold will discuss the experiences gained during the development of EVA and Laverana’s AI strategy, how employees are involved, and provide an update on the current status.
