Digital Sounds - Meeting place for the music, audio and digital industries

When Hannover's music, audio and digital industries meet, it's always about "digital sounds". For the ninth time, the joint series of Hörregion, UNESCO City of Music Hannover, the kreHtiv network and hannoverimpuls hosted a network meeting.

Music industry, sound listening, digital industry, sound design: the"Digital Sounds"series offers players a platform to exchange ideas, discover new things, build networks and identify interfaces. On Thursday, September 23, the aim was once again to discuss trends and hone ideas together - in a relaxed setting at the KUBI of the MusikZentrum Hannover.

Moderator MikeWonsikiewicz interviewedexperts from various sectors about their current projects and ideas. Impulses for the exchange were given by, among others: Dr. Martin Kinkel from KIND Hörgeräte, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Peissig from theInstitute for Communication Technology at Leibniz Universität Hannover and Prof.Dr. Reinhard Kopiez, Professor of Music Psychology at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. Also present: Frank Nordiek, initiator of the "IntraRegionale", Henrik Jürgens fromZynaptiq, as well as the composer and pianist MarinaBaranova andthe composer DamianMarhulets. The program was followed by a musical contribution.

The event series is aimed at anyone who is interested in electronic sounds, works in the music, digital and audio industries and is open to thinking outside the box.


Digital Sounds

is a joint series of events organized by the state capital Hannover as UNESCO City of Music Hannover, the Hannover Region with the Hörregion initiative and hannoverimpuls, the economic development agency of the state capital and Hannover Region. Launched in 2016 with a conference, the series includes various formats such as concerts and workshops. The focus is on new trends and the further development of digital sounds in the fields of sound design, sound listening, the music industry, the medical sector and the digital economy.
