Wireless charging of electric cars in stop-and-go mode: The test field for the LaneCharge project at Hanover University's Institute for Construction Elements, Mechatronics and Electromobility is taking shape.

The first induction coils are now under the asphalt together with the industrial partners*.
The project is being funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport. hannoverimpuls has linked Professor Heiko Hepp's technical idea with the "Hallo Taxi 3811" cab center and its e-taxis, which are being funded by hannoverimpuls.
The cab industry will be put to the test in 2023 at the north exit cab rank at the main station. Electric cabs move forward without plugging and unplugging every few minutes. It couldn't be more convenient for the drivers.
* Other project partners are Edag Engineering GmbH, SUMIDA COMPONENTS MODULES GMBH andthe Institute of Road Engineering at the TU Braunschweig.
