360° Building Bridges

As in previous projects, the team of “bridge builders” is once again involved. These are young people who have their own backgrounds as migrants or refugees and who completed a dual vocational training program in Germany. They aim to support other young people in integrating into vocational training and society.

The project is aimed in particular at students in career-entry classes in the Hanover region. A central element is the PEER_LEARNING WORKSHOPS, which take place at various training companies in the Hanover region. In these workshops, the students are guided by TEAM_AZUBI and the team of “Bridgebuilders” on how to behave appropriately in challenging social situations during their on-the-job training. The workshop topics are determined by TEAM_AZUBI and, together with the Bridgebuilders, are reenacted, reflected upon, and practiced in role-playing scenarios with the students as actors.

These role-playing scenarios are also recorded as 360° videos. These videos offer participants the opportunity to immerse themselves deeply (“immersively”) in the challenging situations. They serve as individual learning resources for the students and can also be used in school classrooms as part of career guidance.

At the same time, the PEER_LERNWERKSTÄTTEN offer training companies the opportunity to reach out to potential apprentices, facilitate entry into dual vocational training, and prevent apprentices from dropping out.
