IT in Schools – Innovation Transfer Phase II
© IT in SchoolsHigh school students are introduced to the IT industry through structured internships in both analog and digital settings. Through career-related tasks, they gain insight into the respective IT apprenticeship over a period of 2–4 weeks.
The focus is on engaging girls.
As a further contribution to interesting and meaningful IT career guidance, an ITmS career guidance module is being developed for computer science classes. This module is conducted by participating companies in collaboration with the teacher during two school periods with students.
The project is sponsored by the nonprofit IT macht Schule GmbH.
Target Groups
- High school students at general education schools in the Hannover region
- Small and medium-sized IT companies as well as companies with IT departments
- Computer science teachers
Duration
July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027
The Hannover Region, through its Department of Economic and
Employment Promotion and provides proportional funding for the project. ![]()
