Region and state capital Hannover at the Real Estate Arena

It is the first of its kind and the largest in the north - the Real Estate Arena real estate trade fair at the Hanover Exhibition Center celebrates its premiere on May 18/19.The Hannover Region and the state capital of Hannover will also be there, showcasing their expertise on one of the largest of around 100 stands.
The trade fair was originally scheduled to start in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic threw a spanner in the works. "I am delighted that such an important trade fair is taking place in the Hannover Region. There are plenty of current events relating to real estate. More and more people are moving to the Hannover Region. That is a good sign, but we also need more apartments. The fact that the real estate trade fair is coming to Hannover is a strong sign for our growing region," says Regional President Steffen Krach.
Lord Mayor Belit Onay, who will open the trade fair together with Olaf Lies, Minister for the Environment, Energy and Construction of the State of Lower Saxony, and Jochen Köckler, Member of the Board of Management of the trade fair, says: "A new format offers the opportunity to try out new things and not get stuck in the tried and tested. This is currently more important than ever, as the successful real estate industry is also struggling with new issues. I am therefore all the more pleased that so many young companies and players have seized the opportunity to get involved with their projects and ideas. In its size, the Real Estate Arena offers the opportunity for real exchange - better than well-known major trade fairs."

The Hannover Region's project coordinators will be available to talk to trade fair visitors during the days of the fair about topics such as relocation, location development, market data, affordable housing and residential construction sites. With the first update of its real estate market report, the Hannover Region will be presenting figures, trends and market assessments of the real estate location. In addition, the main theme of the first day of the fair - housing and affordability - will be highlighted by the Hannover Region's WohnBauInitiative. Among other things, best-practice examples from the entire Hannover Region and neighboring districts will be presented.
The state capital of Hanover presents SCIENCE AREA 30X, the science and technology park in the Marienwerder district. The park, with over 50 high-tech companies and research institutes as well as 3 different technology centers, is surrounded by a 28-hectare landscaped park and thus offers a harmonious mix of nature and innovation. Employees from the Department of Economics and the Department of Planning and Urban Development are available on site. For those interested, various excursions are offered, for example on housing policy topics, research and science as well as to Hanover's city center.
