First Startup City Investment Day a success

Hanover, October 27, 2021. Investors from all over Germany and Switzerland meet promising business ideas from Hanover's incubators and accelerators: The new concept of the first Startup City Investment Day organized by hannoverimpuls together with all of Hanover's accelerators and incubators was a complete success. While the teams pitched live, potential investors joined in digitally.

Hanover is a strong start-up location and therefore highly interesting for investors. The first joint Startup City Investment Day demonstrated this once again: eleven startups from Hannover's incubators and accelerators presented their business concepts live to various investors from all over Germany and Switzerland. In five-minute digital pitches, the teams explained their respective business models in order to raise capital for their companies. The investors were there digitally.

All of the teams are currently looking for investors and come from the food, agriculture, tech, lifestyle, health and services sectors. The variety of business models presented was therefore broad: fromHistaFit, for example, which aims to provide an overall concept for people with histamine intolerance, from education to compatible food supplements and low-histamine foods, toJourneyStamps, which offers a digital platform for individual travelers, which allows individual travellers to be inspired by like-minded people online and offline, regardless of time and place, toSmartCloudFarming, which creates high-resolution digital 3D soil maps based on decentralized data and AI to enable carbon-positive agriculture and modernize soil management.

MoxieGmbHaims toprovidesimplified mobility for people with disabilities. Its standards for route planning and pooling make it easier for cost bearers to check billed journeys - and transport services benefit from fully automated scheduling and billing. There were also problem solvers for industry: MotronixGbR, for example, is revolutionizing mould production with thousands of small, reusable pin segments that can be moved using a patent-pending actuator system. This allows metal geometries to be produced for a wide variety of production techniques and reused again and again.

The Startup City Investment Day was a real premiere not only for the startups in the pitch. The new format of the hannoverimpuls event was organized together with the accelerators and incubators. This allowed a diverse investment portfolio to be presented to the investors, which met with great interest. The participating teams came from the start-up programs of VentureVilla, Hafven Impact Accelerator, RootCamp, Social Innovation Center, Female Health Incubator, Nexster Entrepreneurship Center and starting business.

Following the pitches, the teams answered questions from investment experts. Investors were then able to make direct contact with start-ups of interest to them in breakout rooms.
