The TZ - the professional home of high-tech start-ups
With currently 78 offices, eleven workshops, a technology mall and eight laboratories, the hannoverimpuls TC in the Science Park offers innovative, technology-oriented companies and start-ups the opportunity for optimal business development. The companies located here are mainly active in production engineering and optical technologies.
Picum MT GmbH - Digital Place Lower Saxony 2020
After touring the construction site, the two visitors also visited two start-ups based at the TC. Picum MT GmbH develops mobile and highly flexible systems for the precise mechanical processing of large, complex components on site. The spin-off from the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) at Leibniz Universität Hannover was recently awarded the title "Digitaler Ort Niedersachsen 2020" and presented the guests with innovative robots for the automotive and aviation industries.
Graphmasters - A world without traffic jams
What for some is utopia, Graphmasters founder Sebastian Heise has set himself the task of creating a world without traffic jams and free-flowing traffic. To achieve this, he and his two co-founders, together with their now 52-strong team, are focusing on networked navigation. The basis for this is the NUNAV technology they have developed. Unlike conventional navigation systems, each vehicle is assigned an individual route. NUNAV distributes the traffic across the entire road infrastructure. The result: flowing traffic - and a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. Graphmasters was founded in Hanover in 2012 and now also has locations in Europe and the UK, while NUNAV navigation has just been rolled out in the USA. The company has already won several awards for its AI-based navigation. Graphmasters has been a partner of the traffic management center in Lower Saxony since the beginning of 2021.
The TZ - job engine for Hannover as a business location
The success stories of the start-ups visited made it clear to the guests that the TC and its expansion are already playing a major role in Hanover's appeal as a business location and will become an even stronger job engine for the region in the future.
