Does the classic car dealership have a future? Alternative drive systems, digitalization, sustainable mobility solutions - both technological advances and social change are challenging the current business model of owner-operated car dealerships and workshops. Lower-maintenance electric cars, communal sharing instead of individual vehicle ownership, autonomous driving and alternative mobility solutions as part of integrated transport concepts are changing demand. In addition, customers have new expectations of an increasingly digital user experience from vehicle purchase to service. At the same time, the mostly small and medium-sized companies are coming under pressure from the manufacturers, who are seeking direct contact with the end customer as a response to the challenges of transformation. In cooperation with WirtschaftsDienst, the neu/wagen dialog offers owners and managers of car dealerships and workshops a platform for exchanging experiences and is also intended to provide other players in the vehicle and supplier industry with impetus from the perspective of the end consumer.
