HALLE 96 has celebrated its birthday. It has been the center for creative people on the Hanomag site for 10 years now.
For almost 30 years, the former Hanomag site in Linden-Süd was a huge industrial wasteland until the Munich-based investor DIBAG Industriebau AG took the lead in its revitalization and turned it into one of the most modern commercial and residential districts in the capital of Lower Saxony. An indispensable centerpiece today: HALLE 96 by hannoverimpuls, the home of Hanover's creative community. The first tenants were able to move in here in May 2012 - also thanks to the generous support of DIBAG.
On around3,000 square meters with 83 offices, seven workshops andconference rooms, start-ups, young and existing companies from the creative industries have found space to develop their business ideas here for ten years now. From the very beginning, the aim was to motivate founders to set up their own business, to inspire them about the location and to network the people involved in the regional economy. After a welcoming address by Hanover's City Planning CouncillorThomas Vielhaber andhannoverimpuls Managing Director DorisPetersen, there was a colorful program with music by JOULESTHE FOX and CURLY& LION, interviews with people involved in the HALLE 96 environment and rousing party sound by Djane Jasmina. NDR presenter Andreas Kuhnt hosted the program.
