The aim of the follow-up project to "Back2Job" is to continue to encourage women with a university degree in technical professions who are unemployed or in the "hidden reserve" to return to work after a period of family leave. Special attention is paid to the participation of female migrants.

Thanks to the success of the pilot project and the close cooperation of the stakeholders in the Hannover Skilled Workers Alliance, Back2Job has been successfully established as part of a joint initiative by the Hannover Employment Agency and the Hannover Region Job Center.

As part of the "Neustart MINT" project, it is now possible to join the project every two months as part of the umbrella project "Campus Familie und Beruf" (Campus Family and Career). The unique feature of this approach is that it provides individual support to strengthen interdisciplinary skills, refresh specialist knowledge at the university, and gain practical experience in companies (dual qualification). The Hannover Region covers the costs of counseling and support during the course of study.

The project is run by Bildungswerk der Niedersächsischen Wirtschaft gGmbH.

  • Start date: July 14, 2025
  • End July 13, 2027

Mainly women with a migration background who obtained their academic degrees in their home country.

The Hannover Region is a strategic partner through its Department of Economic and Employment Promotion (
) and provides proportional funding for the project.
