The company got to know him during an online interview conducted in German. Mr. Jlidi (30) has completed vocational training as a technical specialist, has 8 years of professional experience, and possesses good German language skills. His employment is made possible by the new Skilled Worker Immigration Act—and a new project by the Hannover Region:

Through the “Welcome to Hannover Region” project, the Region Hannover’s Economic and Employment Development Office supports small and medium-sized enterprises in recruiting skilled workers from abroad. This includes overseas recruitment, technical language and intercultural preparation, recognition of professional qualifications, and organizing job interviews or the move to Hannover. Once the skilled worker arrives, they can expect welcome events, assistance with administrative procedures, and the organization of an advanced language course. Participating companies have the opportunity to take part in diversity and onboarding training.

For the companies, it is a major advantage to be able to secure the skilled workers they are looking for in this way.

Jannes Lehmann, HR Manager at Kältech:

“We are happy to be part of the Welcome to Hannover Region project because we are able to attract foreign skilled workers with professional experience and value the direct contact with a competent, local point of contact in the Hannover region.

Given the pervasive and cross-sectoral shortage of skilled workers, we see the need to enable foreign skilled workers to build a future in the Hannover region and thus take advantage of the opportunities offered by the new Skilled Worker Immigration Act.

We view an open attitude toward international skilled workers as the foundation of a future- and growth-oriented HR policy. As a company, we want to use this project to create opportunities in Germany for experienced and motivated skilled workers while simultaneously setting an example for many small and medium-sized businesses!”

Additional skilled workers, particularly electronics technicians and plant mechanics, are awaiting placement. Please contact us!
