No project has ever been as helpful and extensive as this one. It completely exceeded my expectations. I was very well accompanied and supported in my project.

My specific reason for taking advantage of Umsteigen statt Aussteigen was that I was unable to continue my previous degree course in civil engineering. Partly on my own initiative, partly on the basis of recommendations from contacts I got via UsA, I then made a lot of phone calls and researched on the Internet to find out what other options were available. That's how I found the project in a roundabout way.

What follows: I'm now opting for the construction technician course, as this can be completed in 2 years and I can work in the same industry as I originally wanted to when I was studying. After the technician, I will have even more opportunities to work in many more areas than the construction industry.

What's more, if I were to continue with my studies, I would have a minimum of another 3-4 years to calculate. And that's not the only reason, it's more practice-oriented and will certainly suit me very well. Because I really enjoy creating and realizing things. It's also a nice bonus, as some of the achievements from my studies can be recognized.

The decisive factor in the success of his consultation was that I simply stuck to trying everything and didn't let myself be discouraged by rejections: Get up!It was simply indescribable how well I was looked after and how self-reflective it was. It really helped me to listen to myself - what I really want.

Very friendly and helpful conversations that got me back on track. Despite my failed studies, I was shown a lot of other opportunities. I didn't think it was possible that there were so many directions/opportunities.

For me, the real added value of the advisory service was that I always had someone to talk to. I always had the feeling that we were always open and honest with each other. The little "kicks in the... that I consciously wanted" helped me a lot.

Recommendation

No project has ever been as helpful and comprehensive as this one. It completely exceeded my expectations. I was very well accompanied and supported in my project. When I thought, ok, what now and felt like I was in a dead end again, I was caught - I got another great impulse that maneuvered me out of the dead end. I can only recommend the project to anyone who is totally at a loss and doesn't know what to do - because they are unhappy with their studies or have even dropped out or had to drop out.

Nick appeals to those who are still reluctant to seek advice: Definitely take counseling. I used to be the kind of person who thought I didn't need that. But I've been proven wrong. If there's one thing I can recommend, it's this project "Umsteigen statt Aussteigen". I will recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in the same situation as me.
