Creating Opportunities—With Real Impact

The project enables companies to actively counteract the shortage of skilled workers by providing part-time entry-level training for young people, promote social inclusion, and at the same time offer young people real career prospects.

Goals of the “Creating Opportunities” Project

At least 20 disadvantaged young people from the 2025/26 cohort of the vocational entry-level classes (BES) at BBS me, 2, 3, and 7 in Hanover are to be provided with a realistic and viable career path through targeted placement in a part-time vocational training program.

This also includes establishing and maintaining a network of at least 15 companies that offer part-time EQ programs.

Part-time entry-level training (TZ-EQ) means that young people work at a company for a longer
period (4–6 months), working at the company 3 days a week and attending
to complete their HSA.

Benefits for all involved

Early identification and retention of potential future employees, targeted preparation of participants for the requirements of vocational training, and the JOBLINGE team serving as personal points of contact.

How you can get involved

Create opportunities & attract young talent: Offer internship positions. Part-time entry-level training (TZ-EQ) means that young people work at the company 3 days a week for an extended period (4–6 months) and attend school 2 days a week to complete their secondary school diploma.

Benefits for companies: Early identification and retention of potential future employees, targeted preparation of participants for the demands of vocational training, the JOBLINGE team as personal points of contact, and financial support of €276 per month from the Employment Agency.

Benefits for young people: Participants receive hands-on preparation for an apprenticeship, gain practical experience, and expand their skills. In addition, they receive intensive, personalized support and guidance from the JOBLINGE team.

Project Timeline

In the second semester of 1st grade, students are informed about the part-time vocational training program, and career guidance takes place at the same time. The students then begin a student internship in March, which can take place at the very location where they might potentially complete their vocational training starting in the new school year.

At the start of the second year (beginning in September) , a part-time EQis possible, which should/must last at least 4 months. However, it can be arranged flexibly, and in consultation with the school and the company, it is possible for the part-time EQ to take place only in the second semester of the second year (again: at least 4 months; only then is it considered successful).

The project runs from September 15, 2025, to September 14, 2027.
