Digital Health Talk #6 VR applications in therapy
Mirror therapy has been used for years to treat phantom limb pain after an amputation.
Prices
free of charge
The brain processes the mirrored body part as if it were real and alleviates the (phantom) pain. Routine Health is now implementing the same concept with VR glasses. Dr. Ernst is implementing this in a funded project at the MHH. The talk will shed light on the range of applications of virtual reality in medicine in general and in therapy using the example of the solution developed by Routine Health.
Moderation:
- Cornelia Körber
Guests:
- Dr. Jennifer Ernst (MHH, uses the product there)
- Ilja Michaelis (Routine Health, therapeutic VR solution e.g. after amputations)
