01.02.2024 - Development and establishment of an innovative mentoring program with low-threshold access at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in cooperation with companies in the Hannover region
Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts

The Mentoring Flex mentoring program is distinguished from conventional programs by

  • low-threshold access , which is characterized by a
  • Combination of making the program structure more flexible and
  • a stronger integration of virtual tools .

In addition to the mentoring of students at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts by experienced specialists and managers, the program also offers experienced professionals the opportunity of a mentorship in reverse form with students as mentors in the sense of knowledge transfer in both directions (reverse mentoring).

To this end, quarterly (virtual) networking events are also to be held at which (active and former) mentees and mentors can contribute topics and network.

During the course of the project, student groups with particular challenges and barriers to entry after graduation, such as foreign students, students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds/working-class children, are addressed and motivated to participate.

The aim of the cooperation partners is to develop and establish an innovative mentoring program at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in collaboration with companies in the Hannover region.

The preferred target groups for the program are students of all disciplines at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and specialists and managers (at least three years of professional experience) from companies in the Hanover region.
